Le Quest Shopping Centre at Bukit Batok
The new Le Quest Shopping Centre at Bukit Batok in Singapore is an offshoot of a major Australian real estate investor, Firmus Capital. This Australian investment firm specialized in Australian real estate. It bought the Bukit Batok mall after buying an industrial complex in the area and leasing it to Tesla. Bukit Batok was previously served by the 22-year-old West Mall. Le Quest is positioned in a residential area and is expected to serve around 10,000 households in a five-kilometre (three-mile) radius.
The West Mall at Bukit Batok is the largest shopping centre in the neighbourhood. It spans across eight levels and features over 183,000 square feet of retail space. The mall also has plenty of dining and entertainment options. It is also conveniently located near public transport services and a supermarket.
There are two MRT stations located nearby. It will soon be easier to travel to and from the mall as more metro lines are installed in the city. These stations are on the North-South MRT line, which is marked in red on all metro maps across the city. If you’re staying at the mall, try to book a room near one of these stations, as this will ensure you’ll have direct access to the MRT.
Aside from the retail space, the Le Quest Mall will also house residential units. This mixed-use development will consist of five blocks with 516 residential units and a retail podium on Level 1. The mall will offer a balance between nature and space, and it is also expected to feature 45,000 square feet of lifestyle and dining options. It will be anchored by NTUC Fairprice Finest and Koufu. It is scheduled to be completed by 2020.
Located in the Bukit Batok neighbourhood, Le Quest is a mixed development property. The project is easily accessible by car, bus and the MRT. It is near the Bukit Batok MRT Station (North South Line), Jurong East Central Station (East-West Line) and Tanjong Pagar MRT Station. It is also close to the Downtown MRT interchange at Bukit Panjang. The Downtown MRT Line connects the city to places like Raffles Place, Bugis, Rochor and Telok Ayer.
It is also close to a hawker centre, a popular haunt of residents. Here, you can sample some of the best Singaporean dishes. Among them, Ah Lipp’s Penang Prawn Noodles is a well-known rank-holder. The area also has several schools for children. Nearby schools include Bukit Batok Primary School, Saint Anthony’s Primary School and Dunearn Secondary School.
Another plus for the location is its proximity to Westgate and JEM Shopping Centre. Both shopping centres feature a range of F&B outlets and retail outlets. It is also within walking distance of the future Tengah Park MRT station. It also has a direct bus link to the Bukit Batok MRT station.
