Wing Tai tops out The M, with 95% of units sold

At The M @ Middle Road, a topping-out ceremony was held on Jan 11 for the 99-year leasehold project situated in District 7’s Bugis area. With a projected completion in the second half of the year, Wing Tai Holdings’ mixed-use development has 522 residential units across three 20-storey towers and a six-storey tower, along with commercial units on the ground floor. Apartments range from 409 to 1,012 sq ft, and include studio, one- to three-bedroom units.

Despite worries of the Covid-19 outbreak, The M launched for sale in February 2020 and exceeded expectations with 70% of units sold at an average price of $2,450 psf on its opening weekend. Now, 95% of all units have been taken-up and prices, as of Jan 12, have risen to an average of $2,500 psf.

In December 2022, the highest psf price set for the development thus far was achieved at $3,245 when a two-bedder Bukit Batok EC measuring 592 sq ft sold for $1.921 million. That beats the previous high of $3,193 psf in October 2022 for a 764 sq ft unit at $2.44 million.

The M’s prime location proves to be a major draw for its potential buyers. Four MRT lines— Downtown, East-West, Circle, and North-South—are accessible through Bugis, Esplanade, and City Hall MRT stations and interchanges. Setting aside public transit, shoppers will also find themselves within walking distance of Suntec City, Bugis Junction, Plaza Singapura, and Raffles City.
